Ronnie & Gracie - Texas

Hello & Thank You,

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about us as you embark on this journey. Though we could never imagine what you're going through, the courageous, compassionate, and generous spirit you display is inspiring.

We are Gracie and Ronnie - a young, active, and goofy family of two. We moved to Texas shortly after getting married and have been trying to grow our family by two little feet ever since. After undergoing years of tests, procedures, and treatments, we believe that adoption is the path that the Lord has chosen for us. Although we initially thought we would have biological children before pursuing adoption later in life, after much prayer and surrender, we have come to realize that adoption is a joyous and fulfilling way for us to grow our family.

Our home is a place of warmth, love, and laughter, filled with travel adventures, cozy cuddles, and delicious baking. We eagerly pray to welcome a child into this nurturing environment. Both of us have flexible work schedules, and Gracie is excited to be a stay-at-home mom when our family grows.

We are blessed to have close relationships with our family and friends, many friends we even consider to be family. Several of our friends have young children or are in the process of starting their own families, and we can’t wait for our children to have built-in best buds! We have been lucky to find everyone in our lives overjoyed for us on this journey of growing our family through adoption. Any child that is welcomed into our home through adoption, will be welcomed also into our large extended families with excitement and love.

We promise to pray for you and your baby everyday. We promise to talk openly about adoption, and the selflessness and miracle of how any child comes to be in our family. If we have the privilege of meeting, we would be honored to hear about your life story as well.

With love,

Ronnie & Gracie

Meet Ronnie

Ronnie is my best friend and inspires me daily to grow in selfless love, patience, and understanding. His personality is pure, and it's easy for anyone who comes into conversation with him to see his honest soul. This is especially evident in his job as a real estate agent, where people are naturally drawn to him because he has others’ best interests in mind.

One of my favorite things about Ronnie is his servant's heart. He shows his love most through acts of service, always wishing to make the lives of those around him brighter and a little bit lighter by helping to carry the burdens of everyday life. My favorite way he shows this to me is by making me breakfast daily! It is a real treat on Sundays when he whips up his famous gooey cinnamon rolls or homemade waffles with a cup of coffee on the side.

I love watching him with all our nieces and nephews! He is the uncle who loves to crack a joke or share a “magic trick.” His active lifestyle and lighthearted character set him up to be very engaged in our children's lives, and his playful energy and goofy nature will complement a happy childhood well! With God at the base, Ronnie is next as the firm foundation of our family, and I cannot wait to see him as a father. I know he will be patient, encouraging, and grounded as a beacon of truth.

Meet Gracie

From the moment I met Gracie, her awesome personality stopped me in my tracks, and from that moment, I knew I had met my wife. She is the most caring person you'll ever meet. I see this every day in her work as a Neonatal ICU nurse. Her care and compassion for those 'tiny lil nuggets' is impressive and truly awe-inspiring. The kindness she shows towards me and others every day makes me so proud to be her husband.

Family is very important to Gracie. Even though we don't live near our extended family, she always makes an extra effort to keep in close contact and show them how loved they are. She adores our nieces and nephews, and it shows whenever we get together. They always head straight to her for snuggles and for her to read endless books to them. On our annual trip to visit Gracie's grandparents, it warms my heart to see her spending hours playing with the kids in the pool, playing "mermaids," and teaching them how to swim!

It is an absolute pleasure walking side by side with Gracie every day and witnessing her passion for becoming the best wife and woman she can possibly be. That, combined with her steadfast love and zeal for the Lord, makes me so excited to see her live out her dream of being a Mom and staying home with the kiddos, helping shape them into having the same kind, loving souls as she has.

  • Our Story

It was the first week Ronnie was studying abroad from England when he stumbled upon me at a church event on campus. I was working one of the two front tables to get checked in for the event, when Ronnie saw me and decided to get in my line so he could talk to me. Ronnie pursued me with such intention it was easy to see instantly how good of a man he was. Three days after we first met, I led him on a campus tour and thus began our history of walks.

We got to know each other so well on those walks - After bad exams, I decompressed; he opened up about his dreams and goals. I shared the latest bible study I had planned with my gals; he told me about his best friends, family, and the wildly different place he grew up in. We prayed and trusted that the Lord placed each other in these moments together for a reason. Our dating days were filled with plenty more fun. Like I knew when Ronnie made a gingerbread house from scratch, I was falling in love. Ronnie knew when I planned a PB+J picnic for his birthday he was in love too!

After I graduated from nursing school, the summer of 2020 was upon us, and Ronnie asked me for my hand in marriage. Though he explained it as a cute summer date, he surprised me on a secluded horse farm after a belly full of Chick-fil-A and a handmade scrapbook of all our adventures together. I couldn’t say “YES” fast enough!

Though the pandemic slowed us down with immigration approval, we ~finally~ got married in the Fall of 2021 in our "home" church and celebrated with our closest family and friends on a horse farm in Kentucky!

Some of our most-loved memories of the day were the beautiful wedding ceremony, our scrumptious breakfast for dinner (complete with donuts for dessert), and ending the day dancing with our favorite people.

  • Our open-concept home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It has a spacious, fenced-in backyard with a small covered patio for grilling out or relaxing in the shade.

Ronnie is quite the handyman and has enjoyed various DIY projects in and outside our home, including a firepit, raised garden beds, and bathroom renovations. I love the “charming” part of creating a home and have a huge passion for interior design. I create the vision and, with the help of Ronnie, execute it to make a house full of memories.

Our most recent home adventure has been gardening! Ronnie made these garden beds from scratch, and I planted all the wildflowers and vegetables from seeds—we can’t wait to reap our harvest!

    Our Community

    Our Community

Our neighborhood has a large playground for kiddos of all ages, including toddlers, and was recently expanded to include inclusive, accessible play. We also live less than a mile from the best school system in the greater area, with access to their playground.

Our small town has monthly events downtown with various vendors and blow up house, slides, and activities. We are also only a short drive away from larger city amenities with a zoo, children's science museum, and nature center. Out in East Texas, there are plenty of lakes and state parks that we love to frequent year round!

    Ronnie's Family

I was born and raised in Essex, England, and my family still resides there. Every year, we make the trip to visit my extended family and spend a week in the English countryside catching up, as well as exploring new cities together like London, Bath, and Brighton. My parents, who have been married for 29 years, visit us in Texas multiple times a year. After telling my parents we were following the call to adoption, the smiles on their faces did not leave for the rest of the day, and they are excitedly planning all the future trips with their first grandchild, like taking them to Europe and Disney World, as they did with me when I was young.

My grandparents are still a big part of my life, and I can't wait to share my favorite childhood activities with their new great-grandchild, like making crepes on 'Pancake Day' and going to the seaside and eating fresh fish and chips!

I also have a brother who is a year younger than me and is excited to be the 'fun uncle' and show his new niece or nephew an authentic British Sunday Roast Dinner.

  • I am from all over the Midwest and am happy to have settled in Texas. My parents have been joyfully married for over 31 years and reside in Illinois. With two older sisters and three younger brothers, my childhood home was brimming with activity, connectivity, and noise. We were best friends growing up, and I am so lucky our friendships have continued.

Our extended family expands by the year, with 7 nieces and nephews under the age of 6; our child will have so many cousins to build those special friendships with. My grandparents are very active in the lives of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Even though my family lives further away, we still see them several times a year and speak as often as possible. My family has walked through our journey of infertility, covering us in prayers and offering support, and with the news of adoption, they are so delighted to love any child the Lord puts in our lives!

  • Our relationship has always been filled with travel! Because our friends and family are spread out, we often find ourselves road-tripping across the country or flying abroad. We also enjoy spending time in nature, whether hiking and camping locally or on trips with family. On every family trip, our first stop is always Chick-fil-A for breakfast!

Our favorite vacation so far has been our honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii. We absolutely loved exploring the Road to Hana and literally chasing waterfalls. We can't wait to go back with our child one day and experience the joy of travel through their eyes!

  • Fun With Friends

We have been blessed with a large support system of friends since moving to Texas. The community we’ve built through church includes many families with young children and young couples currently expanding their families.

We are excited to raise our children surrounded by strong parents and built-in best friends! Our favorite activities to do together include backyard cookouts, bonfires, game nights, and exploring local food spots and breweries.

Not only have we found friends since moving to Texas, but we also have friends from college and even birth that we travel to and keep in close contact virtually!

  • We cherish many traditions within our immediate and extended families. We are very close with Gracie’s grandparents, prioritizing an annual summer visit to their home in Indiana. Our yearly swim holiday at “Gigi + Great Gramp’s” pool is a week of wonder! They are avid gardeners, sharing their passion for all things vegetables and flowers with all of us.

Recently, we were honored to become our niece's godparents through her baptism, and we feel privileged to guide her and cover her life in prayer. We also love celebrating various feast days within the church with our own feasts. For example, we traditionally celebrate St. Nicholas Day on December 6th by laying out stockings the night before to be filled with treats by morning!

Every Thanksgiving, we travel to Illinois to celebrate with Gracie’s side of the family. During the day, we keep busy chasing kiddos, creating delicious charcuterie boards for snacking, and enjoying the outdoors. Once the kids go to bed, we bring out the board and card games and spend the evenings catching up.

We spend Christmas together at home. There's something magical about waking up on Christmas morning in your bed, wearing matching PJs with the family, and knowing Santa Claus has visited with presents under the tree right outside your door. We're looking forward to the day when tiny feet come pattering over to us with excitement, ready to spend a cozy day together with nowhere else to be. Incorporating some of Ronnie’s heritage into my love of baking, we make English baked goods like mince pies, and one year we even made a gingerbread house from scratch. Our grand Christmas feast features turkey, roast potatoes, and Yorkshire puddings. We also can’t forget to pull our Christmas crackers, a fun English tradition filled with goodies and games!

Hello & Thank You , We want to thank you for taking the time to get to know us. While we cannot imagine the feelings you have or will experience in your decision to create an adoption plan for your child, we hope you feel loved and supported, and we personally want you to know how brave and selfless we think you are. We are Andy and Mandy, and we currently share our home and lives with 2 very different yet equally fun and snuggly doggos, Sophie and Maxx. Andy and I have been married for 8 years and together for just over 20 years. Our early years in our relationship were spent having fun, growing as individuals and as a couple, and then establishing our careers. We knew early into our marriage we wanted a family. We tried for years to grow our family on our own, but through many different tests and treatments, we realized that may not be something we are able to do. Throughout our relationship, we had always been open to adoption; many friends and family have shared their journey with adoption and fostering, so our hearts were always open to this, and we have seen that biology doesn’t define the love and care provided to a child. Because of our family's experience in adoption and fostering, we know the importance of your child understanding their birth story, where they came from, and how truly special they and their birth family are to us. If you decide to make an adoption plan with us, we want you to know how loved not only your child will be, but also how cared for and supported you will be. We are so grateful for your time and hope that our profile provides you the insight into our lives, the people we are, and the love, care, and security we can provide. We want to offer you our sincerest support and wish for you to know what an honor and blessing you may be giving our family we are chosen to be the adoptive parents for your child. Sincerely, ļ»æ Andy & Mandy

Hello & Thank You , We’re Bob and Leslie, and we are so thankful you’re taking the time to read about us and consider our family for your adoption plan. We can’t understand everything you are feeling right now, but we know that you are trying to find the right path forward for yourself and your child. We hope we can be a part of that. If you choose us to raise your child, it will be the greatest blessing of our lives. We’ve been married for sixteen years, and we’ve always wanted to grow our family. After a few unsuccessful years trying to conceive naturally, we went to a fertility clinic. We took a lot of supplements and tried multiple rounds of IUI and IVF, but they were also unsuccessful. Conceiving was not in God’s plan for us; that was difficult and sometimes hard to accept. But we both still knew that we wanted to be parents, so we began learning about adoption and speaking to friends who have adopted children, which is how we found Adoption Angels. We have also been fortunate to have friends who were adopted themselves and who have given us insight into adoption. We want to be parents because we know growing up can be so difficult. We want to be there for your child when they need support, encouragement, help, and advice. Or when they just need to know that someone cares about them, loves them, and will always be there. We want to help them discover things they love and see their own talents. We want to nurture their interests so they can pursue things they are interested in and enjoy, to help them lead a happy and fulfilling life. We will do everything we can to ensure your child grows up in a safe and supportive home, surrounded by our community of friends and family. We strongly believe in setting a good example for how to be ethical and honest, providing a good education, and the chance to travel and see the world. Finally, it is important to us that your child always knows the story of their adoption, to know where they came from and who you are as well. That’s why (if you agree as well) we believe in regularly sharing photos, emails, update letters, and annual in-person visits. We promise that if you decide we are the right choice for you and your child, they will always know that the way they came into our family was through an incredible act of sacrifice and love by you. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves! We are excited and eager to become adoptive parents. We can’t wait to welcome a child into our home with all the love and support we have to give. Sincerely, Bob & Leslie
By Brittany Carvalho December 19, 2024
Hello & Thank You , First off, let's introduce ourselves. Our names are Amy, Hao, and our not so little man James Paul. We want you to know how grateful we are to you for looking at our book. Our goal is for you to get to know who we are in an honest and real way. Adoption has a complex variety of feelings for all parties involved, especially for you. We can't begin to understand the emotional and overwhelming circumstances you have had to face in making these difficult decisions. We want you to know we support you and think that what you are doing is selfless and generous beyond comprehension. From an early age, I knew carrying a child to full term would be highly unlikely. So, when we met, having children was a part of our early conversations. We always wanted a family and knew adoption was going to be how we would become parents. This led us to adopt our beautiful and sweet son, James. We have so much more love to share with another child, and James is waiting with open arms and a welcoming smile. Our upbringing has significantly shaped who we are today, including our parenting style and how we plan for our future. Both of our parents are still married, and observing their relationship through both happy and challenging times has taught us the importance of commitment in maintaining a long-lasting marriage. Our family includes no shortage of caring aunts, fun uncles, and many young cousins to grow up with. One thing you can be certain of is DOTING GRANDPARENTS!! We are blessed that we can go to anyone in our family for guidance, advice, and support. You could not ask for a more dedicated crew of family members. We promise to you that we will honor you in the way you deserve. We will share with you the progress of your wonderful and cherished child's life. You'll be part of their life story from their earliest days to the questions that arise with growing curiosity. Your role will always be respected, valued, and cherished. We hope that our book gives you insight into who we are as people and as a family. Our very different strengths will lead to us raising well-rounded children. Together, we will teach them the importance of acceptance and kindness to those around them while still allowing them to be independent and able to stand up for themselves. Hao and I share the greatest hope of raising our children and providing them with safety and security, all with an embarrassing amount of love and affection. Thank you for considering us; we could not do it without you. Sincerely, Hao & Amy
By Brittany Carvalho December 18, 2024
Hello & Thank You , First, we want to thank you so much for considering us to be the parents of your child and for taking the time to learn a little about our lives! We can't imagine what a difficult time this must be for you, though we don't know what you are feeling. However, we do know that we admire your courage and strength! We are Mike and Tiffany, a fun loving couple from Texas who have been together 10 years and married almost 9! We spent many years trying to conceive a baby on our own, and with no luck, we didn’t want to wait to grow our family any longer. We chose adoption rather than going through IVF and were blessed with our first son in 2022. The experience we have had with his adoption has been so wonderful, and we can’t wait to give him a brother or sister. We have always wanted a big family, as both of ours are relatively small, and we are so grateful for this adoption opportunity because, without it, we wouldn’t be able to have that. Tiffany is a stay-at-home mom currently and will continue to do so. She loves being able to be so involved with raising our children and growing a special bond from the beginning. Also, her parents and grandparents live next door to us, so they will always be surrounded by love and family. We promise to provide your child with a safe, loving home with fun adventures and a wonderful education. We will always be honest with them about where they came from, how much you love them, and how that love brought them to us! We will keep you and your child in our prayers, and no matter your decision, we wish you the best on this emotional journey. Love, Mike & Tiffany
By Brittany Carvalho December 17, 2024
Hello & Thank You , First and foremost, we are so grateful for your consideration. While we cannot imagine all that you are going through, we support you. While we may never fully know the sacrifice you are making, we are grateful. We have longed to build our family for many years, and it is truly humbling to have you get to know us. We always knew that adoption would be a part of our family, and it has proven to be the biggest blessing in our lives. After we were married, we discovered that we had unknown fertility issues, and that was our sign from the Lord to choose to grow our family through adoption. We adopted our daughter Caroline at birth almost three years ago, and she has brought so much love and joy into our home and family. Now, we have hopes to bring home another sweet blessing, and we know that Caroline will be the best big sister! Our home is full of laughter and fun, and we truly love to spend time with each other. We strive to keep the Lord at the center of it all, and we have a lot of love to share. Our families have been so supportive, and they also cannot wait to add another baby. We do not take this decision lightly and consider raising a child the greatest privilege. We admire your courage and see your strength. If we are chosen to parent your child, we ask for grace, and we thank you for the bravery you display. As much as your child may become a part of us, they will always remain a part of you. We want them to know that. Whatever decision you make, may you know that you are loved and that you and your baby's lives are precious. We've prayed that your heart, mind, body, and baby would be safe and loved and that you would be covered in peace during it all. With love and grateful hearts, Matthew & Lindsay

Hello & Thank You , Hello, and thank you for taking the time to consider us as adoptive parents for your baby. We are so excited to be adopting and bringing a child into our family! We can’t begin to understand the weight of this choice and want you to know that your child's well-being is our top priority. Please understand that we wish you and your child all the best no matter what you choose. We hope this book gives you a glimpse of our family. We are Andrew and Julie. We have been together for eight years and married for five. Hello & Thank You , Just saying thank you isn't enough for us to express our gratitude for considering us to be adoptive parents. We cannot begin to understand how difficult this decision is and that it is not taken lightly. No matter your decision, you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are Amanda and Spencer. We have been together over ten years and have been married for three. From the very beginning of our relationship, we talked about starting a family, but God had different plans for us. Unfortunately, Amanda has faced health challenges that have led to infertility, which won't allow us to have our own biological children. Adoption has touched both our lives in meaningful ways. Spencer's mother was adopted, and she is ecstatic that we are pursuing this path. In addition, Spencer has two adopted cousins, and I have one as well. Both of our families are loving and supportive of our decision, and we are all ready to share unconditional love with a child. Since we both have relatives who were adopted, we believe it is important for your child to understand their adoption story from the very beginning. We look forward to sharing with your child just how special they and their birth family are to us. The relationship between a child and their birth family is significant, and we strongly support an open adoption. There is no such thing as too many people to love and support a child. Raised in the Catholic faith, we plan to instill the same values in our future child. We cherish faith, family, community, friendships, and love, and we will teach the importance of hard work and the achievements it can bring. With both our families and friends nearby, your child will be surrounded by a loving network of support. Thank you for the time to read our story and consider us as potential adoptive parents. We wish you peace on this journey and the very best for you and your child. Sincerely, Spencer & Amanda

Hello & Thank You , We are Damon and Amanda, and we thank you for taking the time to learn more about our family. We can't imagine how hard this choice must be, and we have SO much respect for you. Your courage is truly admirable. We hope our story will be helpful as you make your choice. Please know that no matter what you decide, we wish you and your child nothing but the best, and you will both be in our prayers. We would love to share a little about ourselves, and hopefully, this book will give you a clear picture of who we are! We have grown so much during our years of marriage! Our journey has included buying a house, starting new jobs, surviving a pandemic, experiencing years of infertility and loss, going on many trips, and so much more. Throughout the highs and lows, our relationship has only become stronger. We feel very blessed to have wonderful parents and grandparents who model healthy relationships. They have taught us invaluable lessons and instilled strong morals in us. From the beginning, we have known that we wanted children and planned to have them at a young age. However, we faced three years of infertility and treatments, which ultimately resulted in loss. Going through it all taught us many important lessons and brought us even closer to each other and to God. We have always wanted to adopt, and we feel that now is the right time to do it! For us, raising a child means reading books together before bed, quality family time, lots of outdoor adventures, supporting whatever dreams he/she may have, and a home full of laughter. We value communication, kindness, and passion. Our goal is to create a loving environment that inspires creativity and curiosity, embraces differences, and opens opportunities for learning and growth. Our home is filled with warmth, love, laughter, and support. Adoption means a lot to us! It represents strong people who love a child so much that they come together to build a wonderful relationship, ensuring the best care for that child. We have inspiring adoption stories within our extended family and friends, and we are grateful for their incredible support as we embark on this journey. Our utmost hope is to be the family that provides hope, love, support, and care for your child. We promise to raise them in an encouraging, safe, and loving home, striving to be the best parents we can be. We will encourage them to follow their dreams and support them every step of the way. Your child will grow up knowing their story and understanding just how loved they are by all of us. We can't express how grateful we are to be considered as potential adoptive parents for your child. Thank you again for reading about us! Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Damon & Amanda

Hello & Thank You , We are beyond grateful for you considering us as prospective parents. Please know that what is best for you and the baby is the most important thing throughout this process. We can only imagine the difficulties that come with this decision, but please know that your child will be loved without qualification. We are so excited to begin our adoption journey and bring a child into our family. We are Will & Lorena, and we have been together for almost 7 years. Our path to adoption starts with Will being adopted himself at birth and from a young age, knowing that this was always going to be a part of his family plan. As we began to discuss having a family, Lorena was concerned about getting pregnant due to her infertility diagnosis, so turning to adoption was an easy call for us to start our family. The values that are most important to our household are love, kindness, and respect. Ensuring that, above all else, people are treated equally will be core to the teachings we share with our child. We want to encourage them to be curious and welcome diversity in all forms and to do so with a smile. Both of us love to laugh, and we want our child’s life to be filled with those unforgettable moments. To us, adoption is a beautiful journey shared by all parties involved. We are lucky to have extremely supportive friends and family to guide and join us on this journey. With Will’s own experience, including his relationship with his birth mother, we know we are lucky to have tremendous examples to mentor us along our own path as we welcome a child into our family. Should you choose us to welcome your child into our family, they will be unconditionally surrounded by love and warmth. We appreciate you taking this time to consider us as prospective parents, and should you choose us, we are prepared to listen to, support, and honor your wishes throughout this process. Sincerely, Will & Lorena
