Our names are Joseph and Brandi. Our journey to becoming a family has been a long one. Very early in our relationship, we knew we wanted a family one day, and we had always envisioned ourselves as parents. We began trying to start our family right after we got married, but infertility issues have prevented us from growing our family. Having been through multiple rounds of fertility treatments with no luck, we decided that the time, money, and emotions we were dedicating to this process could be better spent on another avenue to parenthood: adoption. 


Adoption is an option that I, Brandi, am familiar with. When I was 10 years old, I found out my mom placed my sister for adoption. Many adoptions were closed back then, so, unfortunately, we know nothing about her. While this has been painful for my family, my mother knew she did what was best for her as she was very young and unable to give her the life she felt she deserved. From my experience with adoption and knowing that it’s how we will be growing our family, I can promise that your child will know their adoption story from the beginning. They will know of you, your courage, strength, and the love you have for them. You will never feel the pain of not knowing them or of them not knowing you. 


We promise to provide your child with a loving and nurturing home. We will raise them with the values and morals of putting family first, recognizing and embracing our differences, celebrating our unique journey to becoming a family and celebrating the little things that make us who we are. We have so many loving friends and family members that are supportive and excited to welcome your child into their hearts, and we plan to lean on them for support and guidance along the way.


We have so much love in our lives; we know our lives will be enriched by sharing that love with a child. We hope this book will give you an idea of who we are and what we have to offer your child. We wish you the best on your journey and pray that God bless you, your baby, and the family you choose to adopt your child.

Meet Joe

Joe is one of the most open-minded and positive people I know. His love for all genres of music, movies, and games is a great example of his versatility. He is always welcoming and accepting of anyone he meets, without hesitation, noting differences only to cherish them, not to judge. He is also fun-loving, always playing tricks on our friends and making us laugh. His impressions of Disney characters are hilarious, and his facial expressions are priceless. Another thing about Joe is that he loves tattoos and has many of them, each symbolizing different loves and passions in his life.


One of the many reasons I love Joe so much is his ability to roll with any surprise or obstacle and always stay positive. He has a grounding presence that helps me when I feel overwhelmed, and his patience with me and others in our lives is truly admirable. Family and quality time together are his biggest priorities, and he enjoys all kinds of activities. I am beyond excited to watch him become a Dad, as he has already shown such a natural ability to bond and play with our God-Sons and other kids in our lives. Joe is an amazing partner who never hesitates to share the workload for chores and errands and has a way of making anything fun. His reliability and trustworthiness are just a few of the things I adore about him. He is a wonderful husband, and I have no doubt that he will make a fantastic Dad because of his patience, tenderness, and fun personality.

She is incredibly organized and always ensures that everything runs smoothly. What I admire most about her are her determination and drive. Brandi has overcome many obstacles in her life, which have made her the strong, resilient and hardworking person she is today. From learning to play a musical instrument, graduating from college, becoming a boss at work, to bonding with our God-Sons, she always gives 100% and never takes the easy way out. I am so grateful to have her in my life.


Brandi is truly an inspiration! She has spoken at many high schools, sharing her experiences and encouraging kids to embrace their uniqueness and speak up about their individual needs. She has a special ability to pick up on the emotional needs of those around her and uses those feelings to help others build their confidence. With her passion and caring nature, she is an inspiring role model, not just for me, but for everyone who knows her. These are the things that are going to make her an amazing mom one day. She is my best friend, and I could not dream of a better partner.

Joe & Brandi - Getting to Know Us

Our Story

I remember the day Joe and I met like it was yesterday. We were both teenagers then and met at a roller-skating rink in 2006. Joe saw me standing by myself and skated over to talk to me. He led with a classic pickup line- “Do you come here often?”

Two days later, we were on our first date. We were both so nervous and excited. While we waited for the movie to start, we played the game Hang Man. I spelt out the words, “ARE YOU GOING TO KISS ME NOW?” Joe smiled and said, “I want it to be special, so not yet.” 

On our third date, he handed me a piece of paper that had a partial Hang Man game started, spelling out “CAN I KISS YOU NOW?”. Of course, I said yes, and we’ve been together ever since.

We moved in together right after high school, and then in 2011, during the 4th of July fireworks, he proposed to me – and I said “yes”!

In 2013, we had planned on having a big wedding in the fall. Unfortunately, a member of our family got sick unexpectedly, and we didn't want them to miss out on our special day. So, on Valentine's Day of that year, we had a small, intimate ceremony at our church with only our immediate family present. Later that year, in November, we had a big vow renewal party with over 200 guests. It was incredible to be able to experience such an important day in two different ways. We cherish our unique story and history and wouldn't change a thing.

Our Home

We absolutely adore our home! When we bought our house in 2020, our dream was to start a family, and we are thrilled to see that dream becoming a reality. Our 2-story home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a dining room, a small attic and basement, and plenty of storage space. The open-concept area on the upper floor is a perfect play space for kids, filled with our collection of board games. The backyard is our little oasis, fenced in and shaded by beautiful trees. We love the in-ground fire pit and the views of our neighbors' nice backyards. During the summer, we enjoy soaking in the small 3-foot-deep pool and can't wait to add some fun toys for our little one. The location of our home is perfect as it is located on a quiet street with very little traffic, and we can walk to a couple of parks nearby. We also love the convenience of being less than 5 minutes away from Brandi's work.


In preparation for the arrival of our newest family member, we were very excited to set up our nursery. The current nursery setup includes a crib, changing table, rocking chair, and dresser. Our theme is Winnie the Pooh, but we had to add a little bit of Star Wars too.

    • Our Community

    We have so many fun things in our community that we love and can’t wait to do with our child.

    -   Community pool with zero depth entry, a waterslide, and water play attractions. Soon to be added, a tube waterslide, splash pad, aquatic climbing wall, and an 18-hole mini-golf course.

    -   Children’s Museum and performing arts centers

    -   Sledding hills and an outdoor ice skating rink

    -   Lots of parks with playgrounds and sports fields

    -   Nature Center – 3 minutes away from our home is a beautiful nature center of the river, where families can explore and learn about wildlife.

    -  Farmers market – less than 5 minutes from our home, hosted every weekend all summer long, with entertainment and fresh veggies and flowers.

    -  YMCA – We became members in early 2023 and love all they have to offer.

    Joe's Family

    I feel so grateful to have such a wonderful, big family that I am close to. My Dad and I have a special bond, and we enjoy hunting and fishing together. He is very involved in our lives and can't wait to be “Papa” again. He loves sharing his wisdom and telling fun stories. My Mom and her husband live nearby and have always been there for us anytime we need help or advice. They are excited to help babysit their newest grandchild and provide spiritual guidance as a religious mentor.


    I am the oldest of 3. My sisters are two of my best friends, and we are all protective of each other. They are strong-willed women who will teach a niece how to be a strong woman or a nephew how to treat a lady. My sisters' significant others will be great role models for our child, and my 3 step-siblings and their families are thrilled to welcome a new addition to the family. We have a large supportive extended family, and everyone is eager to meet the newest member of our crew.

    • My family means everything to me. We have a strong bond and love to spend time together. My mom and I are very close. She is over-the-moon about becoming a Grandma and has a lot of plans for spoiling our little one! She is such a kind and fun woman, and will help teach them how to be independent, strong, and fun-loving. As the youngest of 11 siblings, she has tons of experience with children and family, and will be an amazing source of guidance and advice for us as new parents. Her boyfriend is also a great guy who loves to make people laugh, and I'm sure our child will adore him too! My sister and I have always been super close, and I'm thrilled that she and her boyfriend live close by so they can spend lots of time with us and our little one. My sister loves the outdoors and knows everything about plants and wildlife. I'm excited for her to share her knowledge with our kid, and take them on plenty of adventures. Of course, she's also looking forward to telling them plenty of embarrassing stories about me. My father passed away a few years ago, but we keep in contact with his family who live in Texas. They are very supportive of our adoption journey and are excited to be the first family to meet our child since we will be staying with them when we come to Texas. I also have a LOT of cousins, aunts, and uncles on my mom’s side, and they are all excited to welcome a new family member to the bunch! We are particularly close with our great uncle Ray who lives a few hours away. We visit him a few times a year at his cabin.

    • Joe & Brandi - A Look Into Our Life

    Our Fur Babies

    Our three fur babies are excited to welcome our human baby to the family. Our oldest is 13-year-old Leo – he is an orange tabby cat. Leo is very social and cuddly. He loves talking to us and greeting our guests that visit. Leo especially loves kids, following them around and rubbing up against them to get pets. He does not look or act his age, and has a lot of playful energy for an older cat.


    Our dog is a 12-year-old pug mix named Archie. He loves doing tricks (for treats, of course) and is a very calm, mellow, and cuddly lapdog. Whenever children visit our home, he follows them around, too, hoping to get pets and snacks. He is a great protector, and he always sleeps near us at night and only barks if something is wrong or someone is outside.

    Our youngest pet is our girl, Gracie. She is a 2-year-old gray and white cat. She is a little more shy than her brothers when she hears loud noises but is very friendly and loyal to those she trusts. She loves watching birds and playing with her many toys. She likes snuggles and will meow/yell at you if you don’t pet her when she wants.

    • Our closest friends are those that we see at least monthly, and have known for over 15 years. We play games, have food and watch the kids play together. We enjoy ball games, concerts, movies, and bonfires as a group. We are so blessed to have so many wonderful friends, and they can’t wait to welcome our child into their lives. 


    We also are involved in our church community. We both serve as Board Members at our church and are excited for our child to become a part of this community.

    • Our God Children

    We have four godsons, ages 2, 8, 12, and 18, who we love spending quality time with. We have a lot of fun when they visit and love taking them to fun places in our community, too. They are so excited for us to become parents, and we know they will protect and love our child like a sibling.

    Hello & Thank You , My name is Kerstin, and I'm so grateful to you for considering me and my son Malakai as a possible match for you and your child. A single person might not have been your first thought for your child, but I have just as much support and love to give as a couple would have - or even more! My life is rich with family, friends, and opportunities. I have a successful career that provides my family with the resources to explore the world and experience new things. I would love the opportunity to share these wonderful experiences with your child. Malakai (Kai for short) was adopted at birth and is three years old. We have an open relationship with his birth mom and often send her pictures and videos. I am open and committed to whatever type of communication you would like. I want you to know that your child will always know their adoption story and the love you have for them. I am happy to answer any questions you have so that you can make the best decision for you and your baby. As you'll see in this profile, I have a deep love and appreciation for all different cultures, and I love to learn about people and places all over the world. Travel has been a big part of my life, and I also appreciate and value diversity close to home. We live on a street with families of many different backgrounds, and the schools and businesses in our neighborhood also reflect that diversity. I love languages and have studied Spanish and Haitian Creole. The public elementary school closest to our home is a dual immersion bilingual school (Spanish and English). I would love for Malakai and any future child I might have to attend this school because I highly value bilingual language skills and the opportunity to build relationships with classmates and teachers of many different backgrounds. I am committed to honoring and valuing your child's cultural background and ensuring that it is an important part of their daily lives. I pray often for you and your journey.     Hello & Thank You , First off, let's introduce ourselves. Our names are Amy, Hao, and our not so little man James Paul. We want you to know how grateful we are to you for looking at our book. Our goal is for you to get to know who we are in an honest and real way. Adoption has a complex variety of feelings for all parties involved, especially for you. We can't begin to understand the emotional and overwhelming circumstances you have had to face in making these difficult decisions. We want you to know we support you and think that what you are doing is selfless and generous beyond comprehension. From an early age, I knew carrying a child to full term would be highly unlikely. So, when we met, having children was a part of our early conversations. We always wanted a family and knew adoption was going to be how we would become parents. This led us to adopt our beautiful and sweet son, James. We have so much more love to share with another child, and James is waiting with open arms and a welcoming smile. Our upbringing has significantly shaped who we are today, including our parenting style and how we plan for our future. Both of our parents are still married, and observing their relationship through both happy and challenging times has taught us the importance of commitment in maintaining a long-lasting marriage. Our family includes no shortage of caring aunts, fun uncles, and many young cousins to grow up with. One thing you can be certain of is DOTING GRANDPARENTS!! We are blessed that we can go to anyone in our family for guidance, advice, and support. You could not ask for a more dedicated crew of family members.     Hello & Thank You , First, we want to thank you so much for considering us to be the parents of your child and for taking the time to learn a little about our lives! We can't imagine what a difficult time this must be for you, though we don't know what you are feeling. However, we do know that we admire your courage and strength! We are Mike and Tiffany, a fun loving couple from Texas who have been together 10 years and married almost 9! We spent many years trying to conceive a baby on our own, and with no luck, we didn’t want to wait to grow our family any longer. We chose adoption rather than going through IVF and were blessed with our first son in 2022. The experience we have had with his adoption has been so wonderful, and we can’t wait to give him a brother or sister. We have always wanted a big family, as both of ours are relatively small, and we are so grateful for this adoption opportunity because, without it, we wouldn’t be able to have that. Tiffany is a stay-at-home mom currently and will continue to do so. She loves being able to be so involved with raising our children and growing a special bond from the beginning. Also, her parents and grandparents live next door to us, so they will always be surrounded by love and family.     Hello & Thank You , Just saying thank you isn't enough for us to express our gratitude for considering us to be adoptive parents. We cannot begin to understand how difficult this decision is and that it is not taken lightly. No matter your decision, you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are Amanda and Spencer. We have been together over ten years and have been married for three. From the very beginning of our relationship, we talked about starting a family, but God had different plans for us. Unfortunately, Amanda has faced health challenges that have led to infertility, which won't allow us to have our own biological children. Adoption has touched both our lives in meaningful ways. Spencer's mother was adopted, and she is ecstatic that we are pursuing this path. In addition, Spencer has two adopted cousins, and I have one as well. Both of our families are loving and supportive of our decision, and we are all ready to share unconditional love with a child. Since we both have relatives who were adopted, we believe it is important for your child to understand their adoption story from the very beginning. We look forward to sharing with your child just how special they and their birth family are to us. The relationship between a child and their birth family is significant, and we strongly support an open adoption. There is no such thing as too many people to love and support a child. Raised in the Catholic faith, we plan to instill the same values in our future child. We cherish faith, family, community, friendships, and love, and we will teach the importance of hard work and the achievements it can bring.     Hello & Thank You , We are beyond grateful for you considering us as prospective parents. Please know that what is best for you and the baby is the most important thing throughout this process. We can only imagine the difficulties that come with this decision, but please know that your child will be loved without qualification. We are so excited to begin our adoption journey and bring a child into our family. We are Will & Lorena, and we have been together for almost 7 years. Our path to adoption starts with Will being adopted himself at birth and from a young age, knowing that this was always going to be a part of his family plan. As we began to discuss having a family, Lorena was concerned about getting pregnant due to her infertility diagnosis, so turning to adoption was an easy call for us to start our family. The values that are most important to our household are love, kindness, and respect. Ensuring that, above all else, people are treated equally will be core to the teachings we share with our child. We want to encourage them to be curious and welcome diversity in all forms and to do so with a smile.     Hello & Thank You , Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. While we cannot say we understand the emotions, decisions, and journey you are facing, we recognize and honor the enormous gift you are sharing with a family like ours. We are Christi and Michael. We have been together for 6 years and married for 4. When we first started dating, I shared with Michael that biological children might not be a possibility for me due to the reproductive issues I had experienced. When Michael stated without hesitation that he was open to adoption, I knew he was someone special. After trying the recommended fertility treatments to ensure we were never left wondering, “What if?” we started our adoption journey feeling relieved and confident this was the path meant for us. Part of what drew us to each other was how we viewed our families and our desires to have a family of our own. Both of our lives have been touched by adoption in various ways. Therefore, we knew we were ready to start our adoption journey. In 2023, we welcomed our daughter, Isabel (Izzy), into our lives through adoption. Izzy has brought so much joy, laughter, love, and fun to our lives ever since. We are so grateful to have been chosen as Izzy’s adoptive parents and are blessed to guide her on this journey of life. We believe it is important for your child to understand their adoption story from the beginning and look forward to letting them know how truly special they and their birth family are to us. We welcome an open adoption as we value the relationship between a child and their birth family. Children can never have too many people who love and support them. We have established a small group of friends who have young, adopted children and enjoy meeting them throughout the year. We believe it will be valuable for our children to have the opportunity to be around other adopted children throughout their lives. There are adoptees in that group, and we talk openly with them about their experience as adoptees to help us gain insight into their perspective. With a large family nearby, your child will be loved and surrounded by many family members, friends, and a faith community. In addition to providing your child with unconditional love, we hope to instill the qualities of honesty, integrity, faith, kindness, the value of family, and perseverance.     Hello & Thank You , There's no way for us to begin understanding your life, struggles, and victories. Hopefully, we can play a part in one another's stories- sharing and growing through all the ups and downs that this world has to offer. Know that if chosen, we will love your child unconditionally and fiercely protect and shelter them all the day of our lives. This whole process feels a little surreal, and finding the perfect words to say them is a challenge. Thank you, though, for even looking at this book and taking a peek into our lives. We want to reassure you that we have the utmost respect and admiration for you, regardless of the path you choose. We are confident that whomever you choose to raise your baby will be the perfect fit! Regardless of where each of our lives goes, we want you to know you are continuously in our hearts and minds. After struggling with infertility and going through several fertility treatments, we made the decision not to pursue IVF. We felt like God was pulling on our hearts to bring someone into our lives in a different way. After much prayer and conversation, we decided adoption was the clear path, and we're excited to grow our family this way. Following the completion of our home study and application with Adoption Angels, we were in disbelief one morning when Alexandra took a pregnancy test, and it was positive. However, during our daily evening walk that day, we both knew that we wholeheartedly wanted to continue to pursue adoption. Alexandra comes from a large family where many of her brothers and sisters are close in age, her brother Russ being a mere 18 months apart from her. Growing up so close in age, we were less siblings and more partners and crime- each other’s best confidants and adventure buddies as we traveled the world with the military. The loyalty, utter love, and connection we feel toward each other are hard to explain, and to this day, my siblings and my brother's wife are my best friends. We would be over the moon excited to raise children who would experience this bond and feel the same love and closeness. It’s becoming clearer to us every day that this is the path God has been leading us on all along. Know that no matter how a child comes into our family, we plan to love them exactly as we love our son, Adrian- with every fiber of our being! Thank you again so much for reading our story!     Hello & Thank You , Our names are Brandon and Melody, and we are so glad to meet you! We can’t fully understand the weight of the decision you’re facing in making an adoption plan, but we deeply admire your courage and strength. What you are considering would bring immense joy to a family who has likely spent years longing for a child to love. Please know we are praying for you and your child, and that God will grant you peace in whatever decision you make. Through this letter and album, we’d like to share a bit about ourselves and why we’ve chosen adoption. We met and married in southern California and have been married for 12 years. Since moving to Texas, we’ve built a loving home and community here. We believe God called us to be parents, and while our path to parenthood has been unexpected, adoption has always been on our hearts. Melody was adopted at birth and understands the incredible blessings of adoption firsthand. After five years, many tests, and three failed IUI attempts, we began pursuing adoption. In December 2023, we were blessed to adopt our son, Aiden, and our lives have been forever changed. Now, we hope to adopt again to share our love with another child and allow Aiden to grow up with a sibling. If chosen to be your child’s adoptive parents, we promise to raise them in a loving Christian home, teaching Biblical principles and morals. We’ll provide opportunities for them to grow, learn, thrive, and develop a deep sense of love, respect, and responsibility, all while offering unconditional love and support. Additionally, Melody can uniquely answer any questions your child may have about their adoption as they grow. We are surrounded by a large, loving network of family, friends, and a supportive church community who will joyfully welcome your child into our lives. Melody’s experience as an adopted child makes her especially sensitive to the importance of understanding one’s roots. If chosen, we hope to develop an ongoing relationship with you and walk alongside you in this journey.
