Hello & Thank You

This is one of the first times in our lives that we are speechless and have a total loss of words. The nerves are making our hands shake, hearts pound and the butterflies will not settle down. How do we explain to you in a few pages who we are, the type of parents we will be and the families behind us? I guess we start with a simple introduction; we are Brian and Jill. While it has been hard for us to put pen to paper, we cannot imagine how you feel, or what emotions you are going through right now. We recognize that you are a very courageous, strong, and loving person. We understand the decision you are making will impact so many lives and we are grateful that you are willing to get to know us.

Brian and I have a unique story on how we met, how our relationship evolved, and our decision to adopt. We are a rare case of double infertility, but this was not the blow to our lives or marriage that many experience. Strangely enough, the diagnosis gave me an immediate sense of peace and direction. This was confirmation that the adopted twins I talked about as a child while playing house were part of God's plans for our lives. You read that correctly! As a young girl playing in a make-believe world, adoption was part of the story. Brian had a period of grieving that he had to experience, but I kept telling him, I know how this story is going to end. Now perhaps twins are not the final answer in the story, but Brian and I both believe adoption is the God given path for our family.

We have been married for 7 years and have learned through our marriage that life is not always perfect. However, we have learned that when we are faced with the good and bad in life we must talk through situations and be on the same page before we can move forward. We are 110% on the same page. We are excited to become parents and welcome a child into our home and family. We are committed to loving your child unconditionally and will devote our lives to providing him or her with a home filled with love, happiness, laughter, encouragement and support.

We cannot imagine what a difficult decision this is for you, and we pray for you daily, that you would have the strength and the courage you need as you journey through this process. We know that you want what is best for your baby, and we pray that you will find us to be all that you hope for your child.

Sincerely,

Brian & Jill
